28-1-08 – early morning (2. a.m.)

 

The leu said “I can fly”.

     Do you know why?

     Can you tell why? she not † fame

The eagle said “Do I fly well?”

     Why? Can you tell?

     (They tremble most at inward

     Do you related?  She could not fly to Heaven.

The boy youth, the girl kind

And the word worked in with

To know the point for touch of kiss

Given by the girl to the boy

The |*sound| to thy word is |*wind|

“†” {…} “free from stare

† dost who has e’er comprehend

The medulla and the brain!

The heart’s a pump. (Just this.)

I learnt to perceive from Nordau

Had from rave in thought

I would † one would tell me now

Had for 100 not.

In a basket full of flowers

Which a fairy brought an angel     Copied

From the formidable leaves.

This is not a poem

But God’s in his Heaven

And all is well with the world

     His loss crushed eight to-day

     So many just away!

Now may ask me how I am

We come to the “How do? God say”

     “Quit all troubles.”

The world has just this only curst.

Let us bliss my dream

Not on lands hold me back

Be so kind as to understand.

 

Be so kind as to comprehend

 

Be so kind as to take note.

Accurst be he the dull of mind

Who joy or unite in these can find,

Accurst be he who {…} shall say

“This man is undoubtedly gay”

 

 

There are only each and teach

Of letters, but very much

Let all to my confusion

Bliss is the art each express

Of truth a part e’er we unite

How am I, † †,

Now eternal and half ages of age

Aching since caries to wage

Love against. Sat and against Church

And against evil e’er to fight

Between played in a kind of night

In spirit and not very sane

Without in body nor in brain

Employing all my life in living

Employing all my thought in thinking

Before the light of the sun smiling

And without smiling nor believing;

Walking like among the † way

I cannot this poem and at present

Let stay to write a 100 more

All as half-crazy as before.

I’m song[2] of myself I speak

But my own self is th’only weak

Point motion[3] me, the rest is good

For since so exist this do not take

I am but in a wordy word.

Nobody, of course,
