To my verse, to be flagrant in[1] my creed;

I brought the darkness and the light to won

Themselves the symbols[2] into truth agreed;

_______

Clouds and the night-seas where we prayer gup

I called to me with poet’s |fore-willed|[3] will,

And I worn[4] Nature’s to a song of hope,

Upon the terribly end of my |pure| quill.

_______

[49v]

Into the image of sense I formed my thought

And into words, like sense |grows| wine,

It sparkled from the sense to words is nought

The † of feelings to[5] which our thought’s prime.

How great a prayer!

Live my verse to be!

__________

To which God from this moment of blame me.
